Common-Denominator

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:4-6

Every week the short, tall, fat and slim, the upper-class, middle-class, and lower-class, healthy and those with chronic illnesses, Ceo's, blue-collar, doctor's, lawyer's, nurses, waitresses, teachers, chef's, Retired and Active-Duty Military, mechanics and farmers, the young, the old, married, married with children and single all meet in one place as soon as the doors are opened.
Every Race, Color, Ethnicity.
Meet.
Come together.
In one place.
In Unity.
How can that be in such a divided Society?
It's because we all share One Common Denominator:  Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
You see, there is none better than each other-
There is none more important than someone else-
We are all equal at the foot of the Cross.

Isn't it amazing how we could have nothing in common with the person sitting next to you in the pew;
different hobbies, different ages, different likes and dislikes, and yet they are closer to us than family?
It's because Christ Is the Unity that binds Christians together.

I remember a Sunday School song I used to sing when I was a little girl and is still sung today, it goes something like this:
"Jesus loves the little children,
all the children of the world,
red and yellow, black and white,
they are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world."

I think if we look past the things that make us different...
and focus on the One Who makes us all the same...
        Unity will change the world.
            But that's just me!
