Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17
In Galatians 4:16, the Apostle Paul asked a very interesting question: "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"
Do you tend to make friends with those who will always choose your side in situations?
Do you tend to hang around with friends who will always agree with you, no matter what?
Do you know who to invite to your pity parties?
If so, it's time to choose new friends.
True friends will, at times, have to speak 'hard sayings.' Meaning, they will love you enough to tell you things you may not like to hear.
That's when you know you really have a true friend.
Not only do I want to surround myself with friends who will keep ME 'sharp' in God's Word, but I want to BE a friend to keep others 'sharp' in God's Word.
But that's just me!
