Matthew 6:19,20 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"
I received a text message on my phone yesterday informing me that my phone number was hacked. My number is now in the possession of some stranger in another State. I spent most of my evening changing passwords and accounts on my phone and computer, with an unsettling, sick feeling in my gut. I kept asking myself, why do people spend their days trying to steal from other people? It's a question you can trace right down to Jacob and Esau and the theft of a Birthright. The goal: selfishness. Getting something that does not belong to you with little to no effort on one's self.
With technology expanding to new heights everyday, we are left with no control over personal information. Identities are stolen, it's just the world we live in. But I am comforted to know that although one might try to steal my name, my phone number and my other personal information, my Saviour knows the Real Me. My Salvation and My Soul are kept in His mighty hands! No one can stand before God and identify themselves as someone else. God knows each one of His Children, and no one can steal our Identity in Him.
Amen!
So I will update and monitor my Web activity and rest in the Grip of my Saviour.
But that's just me!
"Kept by His power-that is the only safety." Oswald Chambers
